Following Jesus seeking to know Him according to His word that we apply our lives to in light of the gospel.

  • What is the danger of reading the Bible and not seeking to find Jesus and follow Him? What is the danger of making someone other than Jesus the hero of your Bible Study?

  • How can we mistakenly make something other than following Jesus the goal of discipleship? What is the problem of making something other than following Jesus the goal of discipleship? How does a Jesus centered approach to the Bible keep us from this danger?

  • Why are we often tempted to think of the Bible as just God’s view or opinion? How does this approach to the Bible keep us from following Jesus?

  • Why must we always approach the Bible as God’s authority in our life? How does this affect discipleship?

  • How do these questions change you the way you study the Bible? How would you ask these questions in light of something you have read recently in the Bible

    • Where is Jesus and how do I follow by faith?
    • What is Jesus teaching me about God?
    • How is Jesus challenging my thoughts about God in Jesus?
    • How is Jesus seeking to change my heart?
