Titus 2:1-14 Sermon Discussion Questions

Who are the men and women in our church that you look up to as godly examples to follow? What are the characteristics of Jesus you see in them that are described in verses 2-10 that you want to grow in or emulate?

Which of the characteristics listed in verses 2-10 do you most need to grow in personally to become more like Jesus? Who are the older men (if you are a man) or the older women (if you are a woman) who could start or are currently discipling you in those areas?

Who are you discipling to believe more in Jesus and behave more like Jesus? Who could you start discipling or need to be more intentional about discipling with the gospel?

In what areas of your life do you lack the most self-control? What would it look like to apply the gospel to the heart issues that are causing your lack of self-control? What practical steps will you take this week to grow deeper in your understanding and appreciation for the gospel? What practical steps will you take to set limits on or get accountability for these behaviors?

If you are a member of Ashland, how has belonging to our local church helped you grow to love Jesus more and be more like Jesus? If you are not a member of Ashland, what is standing in the way of belonging to our faith family as an accountable member and who could help you work through that starting this week?

What has been the best part of belonging to Jesus since you first put your faith in him?
